Over the last year, Generative AI has leapt to the forefront of the public imagination and evolved from conversations between university researchers and tech sector geeks into high priority strategy planning in the Board Room. After a year of rapid GenAI adoption and experimentation, 2024 will show precisely where and how this new technology will provide the greatest productivity improvements and economic benefit. The MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy, Thinkers50, and Accenture are joining together to co-host the first BIG.AI@MIT event on November 15, 2024. Convening the world’s best research, thought leadership, and business and technology know-how, this event will lay a firm foundation for the business implications of GenAI and help business leaders understand, prepare, and implement the most impactful strategies.

  • Vala Afshar is Salesforce’s Chief Digital Evangelist. He is a world renowned speaker on business digital technologies, a patent holding inventor, a social media contributor with over one million followers on Twitter/LinkedIn (@ValaAfshar). He is the author of, Boundless: A New Mindset for Unlimited Business Success, and host of the most popular weekly web series devoted to business technology, DisrupTV.

    Afshar is a regular contributor to technology and business publication, including ZDNET. He is, however, at heart a business leader and practitioner with a successful career as a chief marketing officer (CMO), chief customer officer (CCO), and vice president of engineering at several technology companies before Salesforce.
