Jillian Kwong
Research Scientist
Dr. Jillian Kwong, PhD, is a Research Scientist working at the intersection of cybersecurity and human behavior. A specialist in qualitative and mixed-method research, she leverages her expertise in communication, organizational studies, and data protection to develop strategies that enhance cybersecurity and build resilience across digital environments.
Prior to joining the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy (IDE), Dr. Kwong worked for Cybersecurity at MIT Sloan (CAMS) where she focused on the unique cybersecurity challenges small and medium-size enterprises (SME) face in supply chains. During this time, she led several research grants at MIT exploring SMEs, regulation, organizational culture, and supply chain cybersecurity.
Her research has been published in academic journals, including MIS Quarterly Executive. Dr. Kwong earned her PhD from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California (USC) and regularly presents her findings to global audiences including academics, policymakers, and industry leaders.
