AI in Financial Markets and Decision-Making

Artificial intelligence is fundamentally reshaping how humans make decisions—from processing information and brainstorming to managing risks and taking action. The critical question isn't whether AI will change decision-making, but how we can harness its capabilities to enhance rather than replace human judgment. This research group studies these shifts across multiple domains, with financial markets serving as a primary laboratory. By examining how participants integrate AI tools across various decision-making contexts, we aim to understand when AI enhances thinking versus when it substitutes for it—insights that illuminate the broader future of human-AI collaboration. Eric So leads this research group.
