Yahoo Finance interviewed IDE leader and Manifest Capital Founding Partner, Sinan Aral, about the July 16 Congressional inquiry into four tech giants: Amazon, Facebook, Google, and Apple. Among other comments, Aral said that treating “all four of these companies the same is very strange” because they have different markets and concerns. Additionally, trying to do this during an election year will be difficult, he said, and it may be “hopeless to have this depoliticized.” Aral also expressed skepticism about Facebook’s new cryptocurrency, Libra.
