Thomas Davenport is currently the President’s Distinguished Professor in Information Technology and Management at Babson College, Director of Research at the International Institute for Analytics, and a Senior Advisor to Deloitte Analytics.
Davenport has written, coauthored, or edited sixteen books, including the first books on analytical competition, business process reengineering and achieving value from enterprise systems, and the best seller, Working Knowledge (with Larry Prusak). He has written more than one hundred articles for such publications as Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, California Management Review, the Financial Times, and many other publications. Thomas has also been a columnist for CIO, InformationWeek, and Darwin magazines. In 2003, he was named one of the top 25 consultants in the world by Consulting magazine; in 2005 he was rated the third most influential business and technology analyst in the world (after Peter Drucker and Tom Friedman) and in 2007 he was the highest-ranking business academic in Ziff-Davis' listing of the 100 most influential people in the IT industry.
Thomas has taught at Harvard Business School, University of Chicago, Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business, and the University of Texas at Austin. He has directed research centers at Accenture, Ernst & Young, McKinsey & Company, and CSC Index.
