This installment of the MIT Sloan Experts Series features Renée Richardson Gosline, Senior Lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Principal Research Scientist at MIT’s Initiative on The Digital Economy. She discusses her research, which looks at the consequences of how and when people trust bots and algorithms to help them make decisions, and what it means for society at large. Do we outsource tasks and decisions to AI when we are most vulnerable?
Gosline also discussed her current research on the topic, “Who Seeks AI Advice? Behavioral experiments on human-AI integration and considerations for decisionmaking,” at an IDE seminar last month.
