Jane Jingnan Liu

Jane Jingnan Liu is a MIT IDE Digital Fellow and Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her research spans macroeconomics, labor economics, economic growth, innovation, and firm dynamics. She is particularly interested in how technology shapes the economy, how technological progress can be accelerated, and how firm dynamics interact with labor market outcomes.

Prior to joining the University of Illinois, Liu was a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT. She received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
