Eaman Jahani is a MIT IDE Digital Fellow and an assistant professor of Information Systems at University of Maryland Business school. He was a postdoctoral associate at UC Berkeley department of Statistics until January 2024 and received a dual PhD in Social and Engineering Systems and Statistics from IDSS and the Statistics and Data Science Center at MIT.

    This paper studies prompt adaptation—how users adjust their inputs in response to evolving model behavior—using a common experimental design applied to two preregistered tasks with 3,750 total participants who submitted nearly 37,000 prompts.
