Elif Kiesow

Dr. Elif Kiesow is a Research Affiliate at the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy at the Sloan School of Management. She is the executive director of Ethicqual, working with governments and industry on responsible development and deployment of emerging technologies. Elif specializes in advising on transatlantic and global governance strategies and policies for dual-use risk. She is also an affiliated researcher at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI and at the NSF Engineering Research Center for Quantum Networks. Elif has formerly worked in policy advisory, project management, and academic roles on tech governance. Previously, she was a fellow at Harvard Business School and she completed her doctoral research on law and economics at the University of Hamburg, Germany.
