Muqbil Burhan

Burhan is working as Assistant Professor in the Area of Business Policy & Strategy at Indian Institute of Management Jammu, India. He is also the Chairperson of IIM Jammu Off-Campus and Executive Development Training at IIM Jammu.

He has also worked as Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) expert at Evalueserve.com and worked extensively on the patent data. His Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, explores the area of technology innovations in Indian public funded research organizations. He has worked on several projects in public and private sector and conducted various Management Development Programs for senior and middle level managers of various Indian and multi-national companies. He also worked with Chair Networking Industries at College of Technology Management, EPFL Laussane Switzerland on digitalization of postal sector.

Burhan’s research is, primarily, focused in the area of Technology Innovations where he explores Strategic Technology Partnerships; flow of knowledge in Schumpetrian economic environments; maintenance of patent portfolios; technology transfer in the public sector innovation process and competitive behavior in strategic alliances within R&D intensive firms.
