Yang Yu is a Postdoctoral Associate in the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy and Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab.
Her research is in the areas of empirical IO and entrepreneurship and innovation. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia, a M.Sc. from University of Oxford and a B.A. from Tsinghua University.

This paper reviews SEC filings to gain a better understanding of actual AI adoption of S&P 500 firms over the period 2016 to 2025. The findings reveal where AI integration is most advanced and how it affects CAPEX and productivity.
