Madhav Kumar

Assistant Professor, Harvard Business School

Madhav Kumar is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Business School. He received his Ph.D. from MIT, where he also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Initiative on the Digital Economy. His research examines how AI and algorithms shape consumer behavior and digital markets, with recent work on Generative AI advertising and platform design.

Prior to academia, Kumar worked in consulting and government. He holds an M.Sc. in Economics, a B.Sc. (Honours) in Physics, and a B.A. (Visharad) in Indian Classical Violin. He loves corgis, small confidence intervals, and long aimless walks.
